The Pot

$0.00

Six years ago when we started this organization we just wanted to make all children smile and make a difference in their lives. Since then, we have grown each year and specialize now with the children and youth with disabilities. Currently, we have reached out to have over 2000 sessions with underprivileged, to the more profound disabled children. We have begun a great volunteer/internship program with local colleges and other organization as we continue our goals to expand. The goal of this event is to be able to financially assist our programs and reach more children as the organization grows. We also want to have the ability to hire the same children/youth that we have worked with in our programs. We feel that these individuals, while under the guidance of our staff that know these young adults, can make a difference themselves while they also need a chance to belong to something. The special needs children obtain confidence, strength, motor skills, vocalization, balance and even social skills. Our goal for our organization is to take our mission full circle from providing different forms of therapy for the children to having some of the children work with us as we continue our endeavors.

The Pocono Equestrian Center

The Pocono Equestrian Center is committed to helping all children and youth but specialize with children who have special needs. Such as: underprivileged, at-risk, emotional, physical and mental disabilities. We believe they can gain skills leading to fuller, more productive lives through close interaction with horses that are in need too. The Pocono Equestrian Center was founded February 2003; horses encourage emotional bonding, physical healing, and promote self-esteem. We have combined a life-long love for horses with programs designed to teach the children how to handle our animals in a safe and loving manner. We need to nurture our children so they can grow up to be a strong part of our communities.
