The Woodridge Jaycee's are proud to announce their second annual golf outing in Honor of one of our members Chuck Ceja. Chuck was a vital part of the Jaycees, serving as a member and our President. He not only did a lot for the Woodridge community but for others as well. He had many loves in life which included his family, friends, music, and sports. Unfortunately we lost Chuck suddenly, leaving behind his wife, two children and many family members and friends. So to honor him, The Woodridge Jaycees have decided to call this annual event The Chuck Ceja Classic. The Chuck Ceja Classic is designed to help assist a family with educational funding for their child or children's future. He always stressed the importance of education to his kids. This event will take all the net proceeds, and set up an educational fund to present to that family, this year's family being the Ortiz Family. Karolyn Ortiz is an 11 year old who lives in Woodridge. Her family was stricken with grief after she lost her older sister (Kathryn) in December of 2007 due to a tragic car accident. Due to complications with Diabetes, earlier this year Karolyn's step father (Kraig) underwent a series of amputations. As you can imagine, this has left the Ortiz family distraught. So in short we are asking for your support so together we can financially secure Karolyn's future education.

Jaycees Woodridge

The Woodridge, Illinois Jaycees provide opportunities for young men and women to develop personal and leadership skills through service to others. The Woodridge Jaycees have been a force of good in the community by volunteering time, fundraising and helping dreams come true.

The Woodridge Jaycees are one of 131 chapters in Illinois and one of over 3000 chapters nation wide. This year marks our 15th year in existence.

The Woodridge Jaycees were voted the #1 chapter in the ENTIRE state for 2005, as recognized by The Illinois Jaycees. We won the Granddaddy of all awards and the highest honor bestowed by state. This was achieved by having a chapter full of members who want to get out there and make a difference in our community. While doing so, they also gain individual skills in leadership.
