TAILS Humane Society

T.A.I.L.S. Taking Animals Into Loving Shelter TAILS Humane Society is a community-owned, not-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to addressing the root causes of animal abuse and overpopulation in DeKalb County, Illinois. We care for approximately 1,500 domestic and 400 wild animals each year. In addition to our adoption and wildlife rehabilitation programs, we also offer a variety of community programs designed to assist our community with pet-related issues. In cooperation with Safe Passage Domestic Violence Center, we provide free boarding to the pets of the victims of domestic violence, we offer low-cost spay/neuter services to low-income DeKalb County pet owners and in cooperation with the Voluntary Action Center, we provide free food and veterinary care for the pets of Meals on Wheels Clients. We are dedicated to establishing ourselves as the premier pet-related resource for our community.
